About Us

Sabrina Spence – President

Sabrina founded Junction Hammer Productions with the intention of creating diverse content that appeals to a global audience. Prior to her role with JHP,  she acted as Interim General Manager of Ouat Media, where she acquired short films from around the world building a bespoke catalogue of film and television titles. She is an experienced producer who has spent years in content development and acquisitions in international markets and is privy to a worldwide network of buyers.

Sabrina’s managerial experience and in-depth knowledge of what it takes to fund content development has led to the seamless production and execution of broadcasts across local and international media. In 2022 she secured funding and produced the successful CHCH New Year’s Eve Special, The Countdown.  Most recently she has negotiated a three-picture deal with Wattpad (including the upcoming feature titled Boot Camp) and received development funding on three new television pilots.

In addition to her professional achievements, Sabrina is dedicated to promoting diversity in the film and television industry and currently serves as the special event manager for the Toronto International Reel Asian Film Festival. She has also served as a guest speaker and panellist for a variety of international film festivals.

Sabrina graduated from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film Studies. After completing her degree, she worked as a Programmer with the cable movie channel REWIND before transitioning to the role of Producer for Tiny Talent Time, a 14-episode variety series.

Outside of work, Sabrina enjoys hiking, travelling and cooking up a storm with friends and family.

Maddie Majcher – Development Executive

Maddie Majcher serves as Development Executive and adult class clown for Junction Hammer Productions.  She is critical in the development of the current slate, reviewing scripts and pitches in an attempt to find the next big show.

Prior to joining JHP, Maddie studied Television Broadcasting at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.

While in the program, Maddie found a love for story development and giving too-honest notes on pitches by producing extremely low-budget comedy and documentary shorts with her peers.

After graduating, Maddie worked with Hamilton Rising, a social media marketing and video production company where she produced narrative-based video content for brands & events.

Along with fellow Mohawk alumni, Maddie co-founded a corporate video production company, creating advertisements and internal training videos for a variety of clients, including the City of Hamilton, TecTecTec, and Mohawk College.

Tired of the bright lights of the Hamilton social media ad production scene, Maddie moved on to act as development coordinator for the upcoming Wattpad feature, Boot Camp and Associate Producer on CHCH’s New Year’s Eve show, The Countdown.

When she’s not making not-at-all jealous notes on other people’s scripts at work, Maddie spends her free time trying to find friends to read her original scripts and weaving elaborate stories to cancel social plans.
